Next week I will be speaking about gratitude to a lovely group of ladies at the Women With Purpose Luncheon. In preparing for the talk I not only did some deep thinking about how I define gratitude, but I also chatted with some family and friends and asked what they believe it means to have a grateful heart. How do we define gratitude, and is our definition correct?
"I had no idea..." This is the confused and hurt reaction I have received recently from a few who have read my book. On behalf of anyone living with a chronic illness here are a few reasons why you may not be aware of the deeper struggles your sick friend faces each day.
I've been blessed to hear the stories of many in the past year. And a common thread, a universal theme, emerged as I listened. All felt alone in their suffering. I can no longer deny, if I ever had, that there are a lot of hurting women out there.
